It is with real disappointment that FQ Events have made the decision to postpone the Milton Keynes Half Marathon 2017 due to significant bad weather conditions forecast throughout Saturday night and Sunday. We feel that with the low temperatures and snow forecast, it would not be possible to deliver a safe and successful event.
We looked into alternative options (such as a delayed start), however with snow forecast throughout the day, and temperatures around freezing, it is unfortunately not an option – therefore, the only reasonable solution to ensure safety for all is if we postpone the event.
At present we are trying to secure a date for the event to go ahead in January and will make an announcement via email and Facebook as soon as this is confirmed.
Your race pack
It is important that you keep your race pack, as you will retain the same number. This includes anyone who had their packs posted out to them, and also those who collected their packs from Up and Running, or from the event venue. Thank you for your cooperation with this – you will then just need to turn up to the next event as normal.
Your entry place will be moved automatically to the postponed event. If you would prefer a refund (minus a £5 admin fee – as per our Terms and Conditions accepted on entry), you must do the following:
email firstname.lastname@example.org by 31st December 2017 stating your full name and order number
Thank you so much for your understanding, be safe out there.
